Bobby served as full-time music pastor for almost 40 years until retiring from that calling to serve as full-time Realtor in 2023. Before retiring from church work, he was full time in both careers with help from his wife, Julie.
Growing up on a dairy farm in a tiny pin-dot of a town in Texas meant working every day before sunrise, going to school, and working until dinner from the age of seven through high school. That’s where Bobby’s work ethic was formed, and it continues to this day. After he and Julie got married, Bobby learned about customer service from her father, the king of how to treat customers, while working alongside him at his golf course in Port Arthur, Texas. Bobby’s next step was church ministry herein Missouri, first in Ellisville and later Arnold, where his gifts for hard work and serving others blessed too many to count. With retirement on the horizon, a number of years ago, he thought about going into real estate, especially after watching Julie work as an agent, and he saw an opportunity to serve others in a new way. So, upon retiring from ministry in 2019, Bobby got his license and has enjoyed serving clients in this new way ever since. He now focuses solely on real estate and enjoys serving older adults.
On a personal level, Bobby and Julie have three children and six grandchildren who are the center of Bobby and Julie’s lives, and thankfully, they all live close by. Outside of family, Bobby enjoys walking (bad knees took running away) and spending time with friends.
Julie grew up with the typical childhood of going to school, playing with her BFF 5 doors down, riding bikes around the block or down to the record store. On the first day of college, she saw the best-looking thing she'd ever seen, and you could probably guess who that was. Two years later, she and Bobby got married, and both worked for her daddy at his golf course. Another two years later, they started a family, and Julie stayed home to raise the kids. Long story short, nine years later with God leading the way, Bobby started working as full-time music minister, and Julie started work as a teacher at the church school. In 1992, they made their way to Ellisville, Missouri, to work at St. John's Lutheran, again as music minister and school teacher. Julie retired from teaching in 2012 and focused on her real estate business full time and enjoys working with Bobby.
On a personal level, she loves being with her kids and grandkids most of all. She still enjoys hanging with her BFF, along with reading, making bracelets and necklaces, and dogs. (If she were to become a hoarder, it would be corgis.)
